PEUGEOT 307 SW (3H) cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
Peugeot 307 SW (3H) cars are 5- and 7-seat estate cars, production of which was performed in 2002–2008. They debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. Quick release seats were a distinctive feature of these cars: they could be easily demounted thus transforming the interior into a large cargo compartment. Technical specifications of Peugeot 307 SW (3H)
The car was 4,419 mm long, 1,757 mm wide and 1,544 mm high. The road clearance was 120 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment could be 135–1,540 litres.
The rear seats were separate. The backrest of the middle seat could be transformed into a small table with a few cup holders. Folding tables were also mounted in the front seat backrests. The glass panoramic roof gave a feeling of roominess inside the car.
Due to the extended wheelbase, the car became even more stable when cornering. The front and rear suspensions were independent. They provided good steerability and high comfort even on roads with poor quality surface.
Ventilated brake discs were installed on the front vehicle axle, and non-ventilated – on the rear one.
Main versions
About 20 versions of Peugeot 307 SW (3H) (2002‒2008) have been produced over the manufacturing period. Petrol, diesel and some dual-fuel ones (working on petrol and ethanol) were among them.
The 2.0-16V XSi petrol version was an example of well-balanced performance characteristics. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve motor with multi-point fuel injection, developing 143 hp and 200 Nm of torque. This version pleased with its dynamics: it accelerated to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and was capable of reaching the top speed of 200 km/h. At the same time, fuel consumption was moderate: only 6.1 litres in extra-urban cycle, 7.9 litres – in combined cycle and 11 litres – in urban cycle. The loading capacity of this version was 580 kg.
Trim levels of 307 SW (3H)
Regardless the trim level, the equipment of Peugeot 307 SW cars was rich. The following trims were offered to customers: XSi, Griffe, Premium and others.
The Premium trim level included an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, front, side and head airbags, front and rear power windows, central lock with remote control, cruise control, air conditioner and other equipment. The front seats were height adjustable. The steering column could be adjusted in two directions. The trip computer and audio system were installed on the car at the factory. Vehicle stability control and navigation systems, parking sensors, leather seat upholstery were available for an extra charge.
